Three organisations belonging to Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi and Yeye Asiwaju, Dr. Bisi Fasuyi reportedly suffered material damages following a deadly explosion that rocked the Nigerian city of Ibadan around 7:30pm in Bodija, residential district of the city on Tuesday.
The blast impact affected Supreme Management Training and Consultancy Services Ltd; Ibadan Business School; and IBS Hotel Ltd are located within the vicinity of the explosion.
Hundreds of trainees who were on the premises of the Ibadan Business school just hours before the explosion including Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju Fasuyi escaped unharmed.
Images of the blast impact seen by KAKAKIOODUA showed shattered structural glass components, removed POP ceilings, sliding doors, window fittings, air-conditionals and several electrical applications.
"Even though we suffered some material damages due to the heavy impact of the explosion, whose cause, the State Government of Oyo State is still investigating but we want to thank the Almighty God for the safety of all lives in the three organisations and those of our participants and residents alike......Our insurance organisations have already stepped in, to document the various damages for their eventual interventions." Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi penned down to appreciate calls, messages, and visits from all Ijesa Elders, Compatriots, Families, Friends, and Associates in respect of the explosion
In his reaction Chief Akinwande Akinola Sawe of Ilesa wrote:
"Our hearts and minds are in sympathy and prayers with Asiwaju YINKA and YEYE ASIWAJU Dr (Mrs) OLUBISI FASUYI, over the discomfort arising from the damage inflicted on the infrastructures of IBADAN BUSINESS SCHOOL , SUPREME MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY and IBS HOTEL, by the explosion within BODIJA ESTATES.
"We have solace in the fact that there are no fatalities. May the Lord God Almighty renew their spirits and strength to overcome this temporary setback."
