The National President, Ilesa Grammar Old Students Association ILEGSOSA, Dr. Obi Daramola has lauded the unprecedented interventions between different sets of the school to rebuild and redevelop parts of the infrastructure of the 90-year-old secondary school.
Daramola said, a renaissance agenda is the theme of the granite celebration as various sets have being giving back to their alma mater and encouraging the students.
He spoke in Ilesa, at the end of the interactive session organized by the 85 alumni set that form part of events of the ongoing weeklong school’s 90th Anniversary celebration.
In collaboration with the National Working Committee, the 1985 set had organized a lecture entitled "SOCIAL MEDIA IN THE TWENTY FIRST CENTURIES: Impacts on Academic Excellence, Moral Values and The Way forward" delivered by Prof. Omole Adeboye an event that also featured payment of JAMB registration fee for 50 students and anniversary gifts for the National Working Committee.
The National President said, “90th anniversary, which we have tagged the ‘Renaissance Agenda means many things to us. Firstly, for the long-standing of the school, secondly, for the fact that, after so many years of neglect and abandonment suffered by the school as a result of the failed Osun school reclassification policy, we are celebrating an unprecedented contribution of various sets of the alumni at rebuilding the once dilapidated and decaying infrastructure.

KAKAKIOODUA in a tour round the school premises clearly marked by road signage observed that many sets and distinguished old students have been doing a lot for the school and students by giving scholarships and building infrastructure and identified the following interventions among others;
Completed construction of the perimeter fence of the school embarked upon by various sets
Completed renovation of the empire building
Donation of 30 solar street lights
Ongoing Renovation of Lahanmi' s library
Complete renovation of 6 classrooms and one staff room behind the school hall
Partial renovations of administrative building
Renovation of Corper's Residence
Donations of 5000+ School uniforms

Donation of students chairs.
Donation of teachers tables and chairs
Donations of textbooks to library
Complete projection set
