Hon. Kolapo Olowookere, Oladele Adeniyi and Tunde Olomola of Ilesa East Chapter of Osun state All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday denied that they had defected from the APC to another party.
The trio, were reacting to social media reports which emerged on Monday, suggesting that the Ward 7, APC Ilesa East members have dumped the party for the PDP.
They made the denial while briefing tumexhaastrup online media in Ilesa as they claimed that they remain loyal to APC.
According the online publication, Kolapo Olowookere, Oladele Adeniyi and Tunde Olomola "emphasised that they had no motive to denigrate the progressive party and that the events at the Oke Opo home of PDP State Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi were merely part of the PDP’s political manoeuvres intended to sow disarray within the party.
"Hon. Kolapo Olowookere mentioned that he was in Bisi’s residence due to an invitation from one Alaba Popoola for a private meeting.
"Honourable Olowookere asserted that he was taken aback to learn of his alleged departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and expressed his displeasure at the course of events that caused his brother, known as Alabama, and his allies to convert the visit into a deflection party.
"The APC ex officio member Hon. Oladele Adeniyi, on his part, urged society’s members to reject their alleged diversion, calling it baseless.
