Ijesa Felates Club, under the watch of its Director General, Very Rev Dr. Biodun Ogunbeku, is no doubt a reputable foremost sociocultural organisation with in-depth bias for welfare of it's members which are a conglomerate of dynamic professionals and business men spread across all the six zones of Ijesaland.
The highly influential club that is dated back to 1966 has been the talk of town to the admiration of other clubs in their league because they are well organized and their social interventions are credibly outstanding.
On 2024 Easter Monday, the Club had the annual family party at the Club House, off Imo, Ilesa International Brewery-Ibadan/Akure express way junction and used the occasion to present One million Naira to the university of Ilesa endowment fund through Chief Akinwande Akinola the Sawe of Ilesa who is the Chairman, Board of Trustees, University of Ilesa Endowment Fund.
Chief Akinwande Akinola was accompanied to the event by Chief Mrs Dupe Ajayi Gbadebo and Engr. Yemi Oguntominiyi both members of Board of Trustees, University of Ilesa Endowment Fund.
In his words of appreciation on behalf of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, CFR, LLD, the Owa Obokun and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland and the entire members of the University Endowment Fund, Chief Akinwande Akinola informed the gathering that the patriotic Ijesa sons and daughters have contributed about Two Hundred Million Naira (N200,000,000) to the endowment fund and a Laboratory project for the Faculty of Nursing of the University has been designed as a masterpiece for delivery very soon.

At the the annual event, members who all appeared gorgeously dressed with their spouses and family were treated to sumptuous meal as they wine and dine amidst cracking of jokes and background soft music.
In a chat with KAKAKIOODUA Dr. Ogunbeku reeled out the outstanding lined up activities by the executive committee members for the year 2024 which include another community centred annual program of the club, the annual Ayo games competition which comes up on the second Saturday of August, 2024.
The third program is the annual presentation of bursary awards to SS2 students across the 6 geopolitical zones in Ijesaland to assist them in their preparation for WASCE and JAMB examinations. While examinations will be conducted between May and June, the presentation of awards to successful candidates shall be made during the August Ayo games competition.
