The Ijesaland Geriatric Centre has become the first medical hospital in Africa to have an Interactive Autonomous Robot in its stock, a smart technology and digital transformation in healthcare including: smart monitors, tele-health, connected to a first of its kind in Nigeria, Linear Ultra Sound equipment.

This high sensitivity wireless ultrasound tool enables a wide range of diagnostic procedures such as abdominal scans for liver, gallbladder, and kidney.
Also the new equipment which works with the robot is also used for pelvic scans, uterine lesions, prostate, and thyroid scans. The new Hi-Tech equipment which is almost the size of a hand telephone set replaces the conventional roomy ultrasound machine which many hospitals would have to construct a whole building for to accommodate it.
The devices already operational at the IGC were demonstrated before Oba Adekunle Aromolaran II CFR LLD the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland who paid the IGC a visit accompanied by the oloris and his high chiefs.

The Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi while speaking on the new devices revealed one Dr Abiola Familusi, an Ijesa patriot residing in USA as the facilitator.
Dr. Familusi is also to extend one of his regular medical outreaches that he has been singlehandedly financing in the last eleven years in Nigeria to IGC with effect from this month of May 2024 a monthly medical outreach shall be holding at IGC for patients with diabetes and high blood pressure.
Dr Abiola Familusi shall be personally attending to all visiting patients from his New York hospital through the Interactive Autonomous Robot already installed at IGC as every diagnosed patient shall go home with a 30-Day prescribed medication free of charge!
Such patients are free to come back in the subsequent months for another free supply of 30-Day medication for as long as the patient lives.

The highpoint of the Owa Obokun visit was the explanation by Asiwaju Fasuyi on the National Health Insurance Coverage for 1000 Ijesa elderlies to be supported by financial contributions from Ijesa patriots also an initiative of Ijesa Communities Development Association (ICDA).
In his remarks, Prof. John Okeniyi, the Chief Medical Director of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex in Ile-Ife, who was surrounded by a strong team of his staff assured that efforts are being made to assign more qualified personnel to the elderly hospital in order to achieve optional outcomes allowing it to run round the clock.
