Senator Mudashiru Hussein Renounces The Osun Progressives, Vow to Work For APC.






A two terms House member of Representatives (1999–2007) who represented Oshodi-Isolo federal constituency on Alliance for Democracy and later an elected Senator for Osun West in Osun State (2011-2015) who represented Osun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Mudasiru Oyetunde Hussein on Thursday, June 20th 2024 hosted the APC Chairman in Osun State, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal in his country home in Ejigbo Local Government.


In his short address, the Senator who was one of the stronghold of the unregistered faction of the party, The Osun Progressives (TOP) which later metamorphosed into Omoluabi group publicly renounced the group and promised to work for the success of the APC in 2026.


Senator Hussein was full of acknowledgement for the leadership of Mr Gboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.


In their separate remarks, Rt.Hon Prof Mojeed Alabi, Hon Bade Falade, Engr Yinka Adigun, Ayodele Asalu Asler and Prince Yinka Ajiboye said that with the latest development in Ejigbo, APC is sure of victory in 2026. They promised to work more on other aggrieved members in order to reposition the party for 2026 election.


The State Chairman, Sooko Lawal thanked the host and other stakeholders for their steadfastness and loyalty to the party. He promised to be a team leader who would not disappoint his members across the state. 


There were many notable leaders in attendance which include Hon Adirulahi (Ola Oluwa State Constituency), Adegoke Lateef, Bar Salimon Adebayo, Abubakar Adesoji, Funmilayo Adegbile, Gbolahan Ayegbayo, Yusuf Akintegbe, Olayanju Kolapo African, Sumbo Ojulari, Salam Fatai, Paul Adetoye, Mrs Bose Alamu, Odunayo Oloyede, Kayode Raji, Orowle Adetayo, amongst others.


Meanwhile, those in the entourage of the Osun APC Chairman are State Women Leader, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, State PRO, Comrade Bimbo Adunola, State Welfare Officer, Decaoness Sola Ayangbile, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, Prince Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye and many others.
