One of the latest and biggest addition to the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State, Prince Dotun Babayemi has reiterated commitment to contributing his quota towards ensuring that the party takes its rightful place in Osun, noting that the quality of leadership in the APC has spurred him to give his unalloyed support and loyalty to the party.
Prince Babayemi, who is also known as "Atunto Osun" made this known upon his arrival in Nigeria and during a courtesy visit to the office of the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, (M&BE), Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on Tuesday July 2, 2024, in Abuja, where he lauded the former Osun State Governor for been a leader to reckon with.
"It is a known fact that one of the vital qualities of a leader is to lead by example, which you have done while you were in office as a Governor and even now that His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu deemed it worthy to appoint you as a cabinet member in one of the Ministries that have so much to contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country" Babayemi said
According to a statement issued by a prominent member of the APC in Osun, Prince Adeniran Kilomodemo Ibitoye also known as KLM, Babayemi, who was accompanied by an erudite and political encyclopedia, Baba Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun expressed confidence that the party is in safe hands under the leadership of Alhaji Oyetola and Chairman of the party in Osun, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal.
"I am here today alongside my Father, Baba Oyedokun to commend the leadership of our great party, the APC in Osun, because, a leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way and he who translates a vision into reality and since I have decided to pitch my tent with this family, I never had any reason to regret, because, I was accepted wholeheartedly and this is why I am rest assured that the party has what it takes to regain power in Osun come 2026," Babayemi added.
Meanwhile, on his part, Baba Oyedokun said there are strong indications that all members of the party are ready to work towards ensuring that the Osun APC emerges victorious in 2026.
He also lauded the Minister and Sooko Lawal for doing everything possible to ensure that the Osun APC becomes formidable.
In his remarks, the Minister thanked Prince Babayemi and Baba Oyedokun for what he described as August visit in July as he further assured them that the party would become more formidable ahead of future elections.
"Baba Oyedokun, thank you very much Sir, "Agba yin a tun bo dale", I am honored to have you in my office and my brother, Prince Babayemi, I appreciate you for coming and I am rest assured that with your commitment and readiness to work hands in gloves with other members of the party, our victory is assured." Oyetola said.
