Yesterday was a joyful moment when Osun state All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Hon. Mrs. Kudirat Fakokunde and her entourage that included Chief Mrs. Abeke Aluko, the Osun East Senatorial Women Leader landed at Ilesa East local government and Ilesa North East LCDA.
What was planned as a sensitization meeting with women leaders from all the wards of the Ilesa East state constituecy witnessed a massive and impressive turnout from the women wing despite being a week day.
The team was received at the Ilesa East APC Secretariat, Itabalogun, Ilesa by the Women leaders Hon. Mrs. Dupe Owoeye of APC, Ilesa East and Hon. Mrs. Rashidat Olatunji of APC, Ilesa North East LCDA as well as Leaders of the party led by Chief Kunle Odeyemi, the Ijesa zone APC leader.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Mrs. Fakokunde expressed her gratitude and berated the substandard performance of the PDP led administration in the State as she called for reflection on the factors that contributed to the party's loss at the 2023 Governorship Election.
Hon. Mrs. Fakokunde while addressing the mammoth crowd of women gathered as part of the ongoing sensitization tour by her office urged the women to be battle ready comes 2026, as women will be playing critical role to see that the APC returned to govt in the State.
She equally charged them to mobilize their fellow women to register for the forthcoming party e-registration.
While admonishing the women, Chief Kunle Odeyemi appreciated the women leader and her team for the visitation as he believed it is timely towards projecting the party's ideals amongst women.
In their various reactions, the Women registered their resolute commitment and dedication to work harder to bring the party back to power in the next 2026 governorship election.
