The Ijesa Sports Club, Ilesa, Osun State, has held the investiture and fundraiser for its 18th President, Prince Kayode Arimoro.
The event which held at the premises of the club house on Saturday 6th July, 2024 brought together important dignitaries from far and near including affiliate clubs of Ijesa Sports Club, patrons, Patronesses, and trustees, family, friends and well-wishers of the President who was sworn in alongside his new executive committee members.
Prince Arimoro the 18th President of the club is serving a second term in office.
He promised to use his second term tenure to bring more physical development to the club as he called for support and co-operation.

In his speech, Arimoro said, “we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and hard work. We believe that sports have the power to transform lives and build.stronger communities.
"Let us work together to create a brighter future for our youths and promote a legacy that will inspire generations to come."
Also in his address, the Chairman of the Investiture planning committee who was also sworn in as the Director of Socials and Publicity of the club, Hon. Kenneth Opebiyi appealed to all Awardees and Special Guests of Honour to donate immensely to the transformation agenda of the Executive Committee of the Club.
"Today, hopefully, a target fund of One Hundred Million (N100,000,000.00) Naira will be raised for the infrastructural development of the Club specifically for the trio purposes of constructing a Standard Lawn Tennis Court, Sports Hall ( that will house different indoors games) and Swimming Pool."
Opebiyi also appreciated the Asiwaju of ljesaland, Asiwaju.Olayinka Fasuyi (our Patron) for bringing down highly revered Baba Commander -Chief Ebenezer Obey to perform at this joyous event; thereby adding glitz and glamour to the event as he equally appreciated the immense generosity and unflinching support the club is enjoying from notable personalities among whom are our Patrons/Royal Patrons, Patroness, Awardees and members of the Board of Trustees.
Earlier the grand patron of the club, HIM Oba Adekunle Aromolaran II the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland represented by Alagbeda of Agenda, Oba Adesoji Olaniyi expressed his happiness about the progress ongoing in Ijesaland and the importance of the roles of Ijesaland clubs and societies.
Highlights of the occasion was the Swear-in of new executive, Induction of new patron, Induction of new members and presentation of awards to distinguished personalities.
Other Executive Community members sworn in alongside Prince Kayode Arimoro as President are Mr. Ayinde Ishola, Vice President, Barr. Seun Ajoba, Secretary General, Mr. Awe Olatunbosun, Treasurer, Hon. Kenneth Opebiyi, Director of Socials and Publicity, Hon. Aro Samuel Abiodun JP Bar Officer, Mr, Oludare Babatunde Idahomi Financial Secretary, Mr. Bode 0yedele Welfare Officer, Chief Mrs Jumoke Adewole Assistant Secretary and Mr. Toba Moses Komolafe Auditor The Ex-Officio members are Otunba Taiwo Akingbeyin, Prince Adebola Garus and Prince Ademola Adeyoju.

Prince Olugbenga Lufadeju an illustrious son of ljesaland was was at the occasion decorated as a new Patron at an induction ceremony led by Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi Asiwaju of Ijesaland.
