Oyetola Didn't Award One Contract Three Times - General Manager, Osun Public Procurement Agency Clears Air ... Attributes Claims to Data-Entry-Error

Contrary to the claims made by the Sahara Reporters in its report that the erstwhile governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, awarded a contract multiple times while administering the affairs of the state, the General Manager, Osun Public Procurement Agency, Engr. Babatunde Adesina has attributed the unfounded claims to the technical hitches and

error on the websites of the Agency.

Adesina noted the error identified was a "data entry error" that occurred three (3) times during migration of manual awards to the e-Procurement .

This was coming after the Commissioner of Information and Civic Engagement, Kolapo Alimi and the Spokesperson to the Governor, Rasheed Olawale had jointly feasted on the misleading report to score cheap political points.

Recall that the former Chief Press Secretary to the ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan, had earlier debunked the insinuations from the duo of Alimi and Olawale, describing it as cheap blackmail from mudslingers and purveyors of misinformation.

Omipidan, in his swift response described the claims as misleading and clear act of mischief, saying "anyone familiar with Oyetola's pedigree and outstanding trajectory of finicky scrutiny of records would immediately conclude that those behind the story have embarked on a futile journey, especially if the intent is to smear his person and personality."

The General Manager, Osun Public Procurement Agency, in a statement issued on Thursday said "as we have affirmed, it was however an error, a migration of data error from the old to the new website.

"The fact as stated above is that it was one project that was uploaded three times which gave the impression of wrongdoing. This was a multiple posting of contracts in error while moving data from old to the new site".

The statement also reads that:

" The award is for a single project, award amount is N233,456,205." as against the claim of Sahara Reporters which said it was N700m.
