The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has reacted after photos of teenage boys suspected to be bandits flaunted huge cash on social media.
Security expert, Zagazola Makama had posted the pictures of the boys on his X page.
In the photos, the boys were armed with Ak-47 rifles and posed with money suspectedly collected as ransom from kidnap victims.
Many took to the comment section to question why the police has not been able to arrest the terrorists but easily target innocent Nigerians.
Muyiwa Adejobi, force spokesperson revealed that the Police is trying its best but cannot arrest all the bandits.
He tweeted:
“We can’t apprehend all the criminals at once. At least appreciate us for the ones we have arrested. We arrest them on a daily basis, in large numbers. The armed forces and the police are trying their best. Efforts of security forces should be seen, noticed, and appreciated. We need to look towards having the collective efforts and individualistic involvement in tackling insecurity and other vices in Nigeria. One thing is sure, no criminal will go unpunished. Thanks.”
