It was a momentous occasion of grand celebration as the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, concluded the festivities honouring his 10th coronation anniversary.
The Royal Grand Reception was held at the Erinmo-Ijesa Oriade local government, Osun State on Saturday 10th August, 2024.

Arriving at the reception venue clad in majestic royal damask material grandiosely embroidered with application of stylish accessories and embellishments showing the richness of Yoruba culture, Oba Odunayo Ajayi who was accompanied by Olori Adedolapo, Olori Aderonke and a distinguished entourage of royal dignitaries, was an enchanting ambiance of the celebration. The renowned juju music maestro King Sunny Ade took center stage, captivating the esteemed personalities with his melodies and vibrant rhythms as he created an enchanting atmosphere.
After the welcome address by High Chief Taiwo Agbonmagbe was an important and remarkable public display of loyalty and solidarity by all the chiefs of Elerinmo as they filed out to pay him traditional homage.

The attendees thereafter patiently listened to the anniversary lecture delivered by Prof. Ishaq Olanrewaju Oleyede, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar wherein he lauded the monarch’s unwavering commitment, diligence, and dedication over a decade of exemplary leadership before exposing his topic "The Traditional Rulers Roles in the Advancement of Education".
Prof. Oleyede also Presided over the unveiling of "Erinmo Direct Descendants of Obalufon Alayemore", "The Journey So Far", and "Testimony and Testimonial", three books written by Oba Odunayo Ajayi.
THE GRAND ARRIVAL OF OONI OJAJA OGUNWUSI
The arrival of his imperial majesty, The Ooni Of Ife, Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, with some of courtiers and drummers in white dresses was a memorable experience.
The monarch, who appeared in white attire and his beaded crown performed the installation of Her Excellency Ngozi Abeni Adeleke, wife of His Excellency Sen. Ademola Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun state as the Erelu Asoludero of Erinmo land.
Remarkably, the first official function of Erelu Ngozi Abeni Adeleke was the winner of the Arowotawaya Beauty Pageant as Miss Erinmo.
Governor Ademola Adeleke was represented by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Tola Faseru. In his goodwill message Adeleke praised the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, Oba Odunayo Ajayi, for bestowing the title of Erelu Asoludero upon his wife as he extended his congratulations on the royal father’s coronation anniversary.
Highlights of the ceremony also included the presentation of a brand new SUV to the celebrant and the official announcement of the approval of the Governing Council Joseph Ayoola University collaboration to donate a 10-bed health centre to the Erinmo-Ijesa community.
All the esteemed personalities extended their heartfelt congratulations to the monarch, acknowledging his remarkable achievements and commendable tenure on the throne.
The distinguished presence of notable royalties added a touch of grandeur to the festivities. They included, the Osemawe of Ondo, the Ajalaye of Ipetu-Ijesa, the Elegboro of Ijebujesa, the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Ekun II of Egunren Kingdom, ONDO state to mention just a few.
