A Mobil filling station located at Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikeja the Lagos state capital was on Thursday razed by fire.
An explosion was heard at the station around 11 a.m. during a busy period when motorists were buying Petroleum Motor Spirit popularly called petrol.
LEADERSHIP understands that vehicles including a gas tanker, cars, and at least a bus got burnt at the filling station.
An undisclosed number of people were also reported to have sustained injuries during the incident although no casualty as at the time of filing this report.
