Sixteen people have been confirmed dead and 17 injured following a road accident that happened along the Ojoo-Iwo road section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, in Ibadan.
The Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo Sector Command Mayowa Odewo confirmed this to TVC News during a telephone interview.
Eye witness account revealed that the incident occurred when a heavy duty truck laden with roofing sheets collided with an 18-seater commercial vehicle and subsequently rammed into other passing automobiles.
