IWUDE IJESA 2024: Committee Planning Decisions (PHOTOS )

Iwude Ijesa 2024 is going to be a blast as the planning committee vows to leave no stone unturned to raise its standard.

This formed the centre point of the discussion during the planning committee's second meeting held at the Iwude Ijesa Secretariat, also known as the Institute of Ijesa Affairs, Adimula Palace Square, Ilesa.

Chief Afolabi Igbaroola (Chairman Planning Committee)

The chairman of the committee, chief Afolabi Igbaroola, and other members described the Owa's approval of the proposal to restructure the Iwude grand finale to extend to the second day as a milestone achievement.

The committee promised to put all machinery in motion to ensure the Ijesa festival of unity showcases the cultural heritage of the people to the world, as all suggestions by Ijesa sons and daughters all over the world are being considered holistically.

With the latest  arrangement, the committee stated that the traditional part of the iwude, the Owa Obokun's regular visits to notable chiefs, will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024, while the social portion of the celebration of unity will take place on Sunday, December 22.

The Sunday's event will take place at Ilesa Grammar School in order to maintain decorum and order as approved by the owa Obokun.
