Oyo APC Chairman D!es at 61






The chairman of the Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajiboye Omodewu, is dead.


Aged 61, Omodewu, an Otu, Itesiwaju local government-born chairman of the main opposition party in the state, reportedly passed on about a year after undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

He recently completed his law degree and law school.


Akin Akinwale, a chieftain of the APC from Oyo state, announced the passing of the party's chairman in a statement shared on his X page. The APC chieftain tweeted:


"We lost the Oyo APC State Chairman, Barr. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu. He died in the early hours of today. He was aged 61.


"A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters. He was also Commissioner for Lands and Housing under the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi government."


APC publicity secretary in Oyo State, Olawale Sadare, also confirmed the death of the party’s Chairman.

Ekiti APC state chairman, Paul Omotoso, dies Similarly, Legit.ng reported that APC chairman in Ekiti state, Paul Omotoso, has passed on. He reportedly died months after being freed by kidnappers. Omotoso was said to have been battling health challenges since his release by the kidnappers. His death came nearly a month after the PDP chairman in Ondo state, Fatai Adams, also passed away.
