Loved ones have released photos of the 14-year-old boy who was beh£@ded for rituals in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Malik Kareem was reportedly k!lled for rituals on Saturday evening, August 10.

The incident occurred at the Olorisaoko community in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state

The victim recently wrote his final subject for the West Africa Examination Council at Iyana Community Grammar School, Olode, Moniya, Ibadan.

Sources allege that the victim, alongside three of his friends, contacted a Muslim cleric, now at large, for a money ritual on that day, Punch reports.

Unknown to the victim, the three other boys had bargained with the cleric to kill him for a money ritual.

News of Kareem's m*rder reached his family that evening at their home and they rushed to the cleric's house where they confirmed the he@dless body was their son.

The Muslim cleric had fled at the time.

The bereaved family said they learnt that Kareem was str@nguled to de@th, behe@ded and his head, which was missing from his body, had been crem@ted.

The cleric had burnt the head so the other boys would use the ashes to drink pap daily.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, said investigations had already commenced on the incident.

Loved ones have taken to social media to mourn the deceased.
