Police have arrested many protesters looting Baraqat Store in Kano state. Many items were recovered.
Police operatives on Thursday arrested several protesters who looted the Barakat Store in Kano.
DAILY POST reports that many protesters participating in the ongoing nationwide protest had invaded the Barakat Store in Kano and carted away several items, including foodstuffs.
The peaceful protest eventually turned chaotic when security agencies used teargas to disperse the crowd.
The mass nationwide protest was organized to demand government reforms over the recent hardship in Nigeria.
However, in a trending video sighted by DAILY POST on X, policemen were seen with some of the recovered items as they arrested several protesters, who looted the items.
DAILY POST reports that the protest is expected to last for days having been slated for the 1st to the 10th of this month.
