Ijesa Family Alleges Monarch of Land Grabbing...Warns Members of the public






The family of late Pa Robert Olufemi Afilaka of Irojo family, Ilesa, Osun State has raised concerns over alleged land grabbing activities of osun monarch. HRM Alhaji Abideen Adebowale Adeyemi, the Alamo of Aiyegbaju-Ijesa, Atakumosa East local government who has been alleged  of unlawfully selling a parcel of land belonging to the family  in the town.


The family also warn members of the public over its land located at Oke Alafia, Irojo Ilesa, which are currently under litigation in the courts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Osogbo, Osun State.


In a press statement seen by KAKAKIOODUA signed by Ms. Taiye Afilaka on behalf of the Afilaka family, land grabbers have been unlawfully selling plots belonging to the estate of the late Pa Robert Olufemi Afilaka.


“This warning follows the exposure of a fraudulent scheme involving the illegal sale of land by a group of land grabbers, allegedly led by a local chief, Alhaji Abideen Adebowale Adeyemi, also known as Abubakri or Alamo of Aiyegbaju.


“These lands the late Pa Robert Olufemi Afilaka. which has been in the family’s possession since 1976—well before the birth of the accused chief.


“The affected land contains valuable cash crops, including teak trees, palm trees, and a fishpond, among other farm produce. The family emphasizes that the chief and his agents have no legitimate title to these lands, making any transactions with them fraudulent and legally void.”


Ms. Afilaka added that: “The full weight of the law will be brought to bear on anyone caught encroaching on the said lands by virtue of any form of transactions over these lands with the above-named person and his dubious agents.”


The Afilaka family urges all prospective buyers to beware and refrain from purchasing or negotiating for these lands to avoid falling victim to this fraudulent scheme.
