The Grand Imam of Ijesaland Shaikh Alh. Muhammad Jamiu Idris Bakare, has led a delegation of Executive of Ijesa Muslim communy to pay a commiserating visit to Iwarefa Mefa of ljesaland, all Royal Fathers and High Chiefs, YeyeRise and all Women-Folk, the Asiwaju and Yeye Asiwaju of ljesaland, and all distinguished sons and eminent daughters of ljesaland, on the transition of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, CFR, LLD, the Owa Obokun Adimula of ljesaland, which sad event was announced on Thursday, September 12th 2024.
The Chief Imam prayed to Allah to grant the departed royal father eternal rest.
A tribute by the delegation, to console Ijesa people, described the late Oba Aromolaran in glowing terms.
The tribute eulogised his successes at bringing unprecedented development to Ijesaland and national reverence he earned.
The Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa, seated with Alademure of Ibokun, Ogboni of Ilesa, Oba Odo of Ilesa, Yeyerise of Ilesa, Arojo of Irojo, Lemodu of Ilesa, Elemelu of Imelu, Asiwaju of Ijesaland among other prominent chiefs and Ijesaland traditional rulers expressed great appreciation to the Chief Imam and the delegation for the visit and kind words about Owa Aromolaran.

The passing of our beloved father Oba Dr. Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran (Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland) is a deep sorrow not only for your family but for all of us in the Ijesa community.
We stand together in mourning, honoring the legacy and memories of the departed. His contributions to our community will always be cherished, and the spirit will continue to inspire us.
