"We feel no impact of the government" Atakumosa West LG traditional rulers vociferate...endorse IIDM register of Good Governance (PHOTOS & VIDEO CLIPS)







The Asotun of Isotun-Ijesa, Atakumosa West local government, Osun State, Oba Prof. Akinola Adeniyi Owosekun has reiterated that though  traditional rulers formed the nucleus of governance but it is a striking fact that his community lacks access to motorable roads, good primary school and public health facilities which are the responsibilities of the third tier of government under Nigeria constitution.

Oba Owosekun position seemed to be the overall opinions of Atakumosa West local government Council of Obas as they took turn to air their views after the presentations of the he Ijesaland Independent Development Monitor (IIDM) Endorsement Register of Good Governance, Transparency, Accountability, and Results-driven Administration by Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, Asiwaju of Ijesaland where many Royal Fathers and Traditional Rulers declared their respective endorsement.





The President of Atakumosa West Traditional Rulers Council and the Oloja of Ibodi-Ijesa HRM Oba Cornelius Omisade Agboluaje on Thursday led other Atakumosa West Royal Majesties to the Atakumosa West local government Secretariat, Osu for the program.







In his presentation of the IIDM to Atakumosa West Royal fathers, Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi pinpointed that elected Chairmen in Ijesaland under the Local Government Autonomy as established by the Nigeria apex court unanimous  judgement delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim on Thursday, July 11,  2024 which is considered as a significant milestone in promoting grassroot development, good governance, and democratic decentralization in Nigeria, will have to be prepared to go the extra-mile to entrench good governance with direct accountability to Ijesa communities with the focus on delivering services and development projects that will lead to better governance and accountability. 


Atakumosa West local government traditional rulers present at the endorsement program included Asaobi of Isaobi, Olumoroko of Moroko, Looyin of Moro, Asotun of Isotun, Oniyemogun of Iyemogun, Olokeagbon of Okeagbon, Asua of Isua, Asireyun of Isireyun, Onisogo of Sogo, Looja of Kajola, Oniberekodo of Iberekodo, Olokeawo of Okeawo, Akinsin of Inisa.


Others are, Asolo of Isolo, Onipoye of Ipoye, Olususi of Ilususi, Aloye of Iloye, Olosu of Osu, Agila of Igila, Looyin of Apara, Onigun of Igun and Aloro of  Iloro.


Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi entourage included, Alagba Wale Idowu, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola, Erelu Jumoke Olafadehan, Mr. Olatunbosun among others.
