Hardship: Jubilation as NIWA Boss, Bola Oyebamiji doles out another free fuel to Okada, Maruwa, Korope Operators in Irewole LGA ... about 2000 people benefit so far

Jubilation, encomiums greeted the airspace on Tuesday as the commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada riders, Maruwa operators and Korope drivers in Ikire and its environs in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State, received free fuel from the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Mr Bola Oyebamiji.

The beneficiaries had earlier in the morning trooped out to receive the free fuel as they showered encomiums while Jubilating over the kind gesture.

This is even as the coordinator of the programme disclosed that about 2000 people have benefitted so far since the commencement of the initiative few weeks ago.

Recall that Oyebamiji recently flagged off Ilerioluwa free fuel distribution targeting at least 15,000 beneficiaries across the 10 Local Government Areas of Osun West Senatorial District.

The gesture, according to the sponsor, is part of efforts at cushioning the adverse effects of the subsidy removal on the people of the district while it is also measured as a way of giving back to the society.

No fewer than 500 people benefitted tremendously from the same gesture last Thursday in Iwo shortly after the programme was initiated in Ayedade Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking intermittently, some of the beneficiaries applauded the donor and prayed God to continue to strengthen him and increase him in wealth and good health as well as the enablement to continue to help humanity.
