H.R.M. OBA Oluwagbemiga Omole Olumuroko-ljesa of Muroko-Ijesa, has made final decision on the Olukosi of Ilukosi-Ijesa Stool as he declared the position vacant.
The foremost Atakumosa West local government traditional ruler took the decision, on Monday, following the persistent complain by the residents of Ilukosi-Ijesa, Atakumosa West local government, Osun State, on the conduct of Chief Toyosi Akinleye.
In a press statement read by Chief Oyewumi Michael Oyedele, Bobajiro of Muroko-Ijesa and signed by Oba Oluwagbemiga Omole, Chief Toyosi Akinleye was relieved of your chieftaincy stool of Olukosi of Ilukosi-ljesa with immediate effect.
The press statement also addressed to the Ministry of Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Osun State, ljesa South Traditional Council, the Area Commander, ljesa Area Command, the Commissioner of Police, Osun State and the DSS, Osun State, read in part:
"You will recall that l installed you, and confirmed your installation with the certificate dated 2nd July, 2022, as Olukosi of lukosi-ljesa.
"You will also recall that there have been a lot of complaints and allegations against you since your said installation for different nefarious activities.
"You have failed to desist from the said acts/a ctivities despite repeated pieces of advice and warnings as in recent time, you have been terrorizing the entire community of llukosi and threatening the lives and properties of people living in the community In the circumstance, I have no option that to remove you from the stool of Olukosi of llukosi-ljesa.
"You are accordingly relieved of your chieftaincy stool of Olukosi of Ilukosi-ljesa with immediate effect.
"I wish you well in all your future endeavours. You should, therefore, stop parading yourself as the Olukosi of llukosi-ljesa and stop using any paraphernalia of office as such."
