PDP's Accusation Of Osun APC For Industrial Dispute With Thors Explorations Limited Misplaced... - State APC

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has chastised the leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for investing its time on frivolities instead of dissipating same on ventures that are visibly within the realm of official grandstanding that do not impact positively on the development of the state.

It would be recalled that the Osun State PDP chapter yesterday in a statement issued by the chairman of the ruling party, Mr Sunday Bisi, accused the state APC of supporting Thors Explorations Limited, the operator of Segilola Gold Mining Company in the subsisting industrial dispute between the state and the company.

One would have thought that the ever motor-mouthed  chairman whose penchant for lying is legendary would have made a difference and saw the reason for him not to adopt pathological lying as his past time in running an exalted office of the state chairman of a ruling party.

The pleasure-loving PDP chairman whose semblance with a drunken sailor who has his thinking faculty perpetually enslaved by the wicked demons in green bottles ought to have borrowed a leaf from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Mining and Mineral Matters, Prof Lukuman Adekilekun Jimoda, on his commendation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration who appointed a square peg in a square hole to man the Ministry of Mines Development in the person of Mr Dele Alake.

The rolling out of one statement each from the PDP and the state government on Tuesday in respect of the issue at stake is an indication that the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is an unrivalled specialist in the pririotization of mundane and frivolous issues to run his administration.

One would have thought that the nosey-parker ineffective PDP chairman and the satellite governor who has been running the state by proxy through his siblings would have addressed the raging salient accusation against the PDP administration to speedily account for the N8 billion compensation collected by the Adeleke government over the dissolution of the Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH).

The accusation of the Osun State PDP chairman that the state chapter of the APC has been supporting Segilola against the state interest is ill-thought, a fabrication and grossly bereft of credibility as it does not go into specifics in the spurious and unsubstantiated allegation.

It is a crass exhibition of a high level of hypocrisy and insincerity for the sycophantic Sunday Bisi and his ineptitude handlers to be praise-singing President Bola Tinubu and Honourable Dele Alake and gratuitously accusing the Osun APC of being complicit in the industrial dispute between the Adeleke government and Segilola Gold Mining Company.

There is no plausible explanation for the Osun State PDP to feign having the love of the state more than the APC which is working assiduously day and night through constitutional means to ensure the banishing of the current *reactionary* political actors to the  Ede, Adeleke's country home by the way of the 2026 general election, which is a done-deal, by His Grace.

There is no amount of commendation which are known to be insincere by the discerning minds that Governor Adeleke and the ever-loquacious PDP state chairman can make about the workaholic and visionary government of President Tinubu that can confer any special advantage on the reactionary party in the state during the 2026 general election.
