The Osun State Transport Management System (OSTMS) has disrupted commercial transport activities in Osogbo, the state capital. It was gathered that the action is in solidarity with the arrest and shooting of its state chairman on Monday. When our correspondent passed through Aregbe Park, along Ogo-Oluwa on Wednesday morning, members of the OSTMS stopped many bikes and seized their keys. The park was empty, without a single bus, leaving travelers stranded.
All efforts to speak with the OSTMS member enforcing the directive of suspension of activities proved abortive, as he declined to speak with our correspondent.

The Secretary of the OSTMS, Alhaji Mukaila Popoola in a statement directed motor parks across the State to suspend activities in solidarity with their Chairman who was arrested and short in Police Custody.
According to the statement, all commercial drivers in the State are to converge at Olaiya Junction in Osogbo in the morning of Wednesday, 20th November where members will be addressed.

After a drive through Arẹ́gbẹ́-Ọlà -ÃŒyá-Old-Garage, we observed the following:
i. People who had the plan to travel from Ã’á¹£ogbo today were seen stranded at different Parks as there were no vehicles at these Parks
ii. Majority of the commercial Mini-Bus (Kórópe) drivers have stopped working and passengers are left stranded
iii. Members of the OSTMS were seen at different locations standing in clusters
iv. Some unidentified men in OSTMS branded bus were seen directing vehicles to turn back with force.
Some members of the Ọ̀á¹£un State Transport Management System are going around the State's Capital to unleash havoc on property and innocent citizens. Scores of people are reportedly injured and vehicles are being stopped from moving.
