The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has consoled the former chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Hon Ajibola Israel Famurewa, over the death of his mother, the Late Deaconess Hannah Olufunke Famurewa.
The party also consoled with Engr Kayode Sowade, a chieftain of the APC in Modakeke, Ife-East Area Office of the state, over the demise of his immediate younger brother, Mr Tayo Sowade.
It was learnt that Mama Famurewa died on December 2nd, 2024 at the age of 92 in Ilesa while Sowade too passed on the same day in Ondo State.
The Osun State APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the spokesman of the party, Chief Kola Olabisi, today, sent his heartfelt condolences to Hon Famurewa over the death of his mother.
Lawal observed that though Mama passed on at the ripe age of 92 but added that it is not the wish of any one to lose a loved one like a mother irrespective of her age.
The state APC chairman explained that Hon Famurewa's mother lived a fulfilled life as a loving mother of her children who guided them to successful adults in her life time.
He prayed to God to grant Hon Famurewa and his siblings the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of their highly esteemed mother.
Commenting on the death of Kayode Sowade's brother, Lawal said it was sudden and tragic.
He hinted that the demise of the young man was one death, too many.
The state APC chairman prayed for the repose of the soul of Tayo Sowade with a prayer to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Information has it that the burial arrangements of Deaconess Hannah Olufunke Famurewa would be announced by her family later while the remains of Kayode Sowade's brother have been interred.
