An Elder of The Apostolic Church had released what seemed like a prophetic message in which he lashed out at the Ijesaland kingmakers, specifically pointing out that things are not normal within them at this time and this is not a good sign for the future of Ijesaland.

Elder J. A. Awotimiro declared during a Special Church thanksgiving Service at The Apostolic Church, Oke-Ooye, Ilesa, Osun State being part of the activities for the IJESA UNITY CARNIVAL 2024 organized by the Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee.

The Thanksgiving Service is a symbolic gesture of gratitude and thanksgiving by Ijesa people to Almighty God for  successfully witnessing another festival, intended to mark the commencement of 2024 edition of the festival while acknowledging the divine guidance that has led to another rebranding of the rebranded editions.

The man of God said the glory of God would be restored to Ijesaland and normalcy would return only if all that are involved in the selection of a new Owa Obokun Adimula come closer to God.and listen to His directives. "If they fail to do this, there's great trouble in the land". He emphasized as he asked for a change in the status quo

"The kingmakers should endeavor to seek His face whenever they are meeting. God is ready to give us His choice. God loves Ijesaland and this is why He has directed the path of the Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee accompanied by some Ijesa traditional rulers and chiefs to His church and for this revelation to be made.

"Let there be unity in the family that is going to present the candidate for the stool. The influence of money should not be overemphasized rather the family should cooperate.". Elder J. A. Awotimiro said the glory of God would be restored to the land and in the lives of Ijesa sons and daughters.

Also during the thanksgiving service, the Ilesa Area Supretendent of Apostolic Church, Pastor J. K. Ibidapo (JP) prayed that God should use the committee for effectiveness and destroy all evil forces working against Ijesaland.

The Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa  HRM Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya II, who was the Special Guest of Honor at church service was full of praises to God as he rendered heartfelt thanksgiving songs to God to appreciate God's faithfulness and glory when he was called on for his goodwill message.
