A High Court sitting in Ile-Ife, Osun State, has adjourned hearing in an All Progressives Congress (APC) suit seeking to stop the conduct of local government election fixed for February 22, till January 17.
Justice Adedapo Adeniji of Osun State High Court yesterday adjourned the case.
APC is seeking stoppage of the exercise over exclusion of its candidates. The Nation recalls that APC and its candidates had approached the court in October last year to challenge their disqualification from the exercise by Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC).
The plaintiffs through their counsel, Muhydeen Galadima, who joined Governor Ademola Adeleke and Attorney-General, Oluwole Jimi-Bada, as defendants, prayed the court to stop the election, bemoaning the conduct of OSIEC and demanding N100million as damages.
