A recruitment exercise for the Osun State chapter of the Amotekun Corps has sparked controversy following allegations of political bias.

A trending video circulating online accuses the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of compromising the process by favoring PDP members over other qualified applicants.

According to the allegations, names of qualified candidates have been replaced with those of PDP loyalists in the ongoing recruitment and training exercise, which is currently taking place at the NYSC camp in Ede. The claims have fueled concerns over fairness and transparency in the selection process.

This is not the first time such accusations have surfaced against the Adeleke-led administration. Recently, similar concerns were raised regarding the Imole Youth Corps recruitment, where several NGOs and individuals accused the government of preferential selection in favor of PDP members.

As the controversy unfolds, stakeholders are calling for a thorough investigation to ensure that the recruitment process remains merit-based and free from political interference.

The state government is yet to officially respond to the latest allegations.
