As the two-year tenure of the present Executive Council of the Ilesa Grammar School Old Students’ Association (ILEGSOSA) is gradually winding up, the foremost association is set to elect and constitute another council to run its affairs.
The election into various positions is slated to take place at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the ILEGSOSA, holding at the School Hall on Saturday, 10th of May, 2025.
According to the Guidelines for the Election signed by Mr. Gboyega Oyewumi, the Chairman of the Electoral body, all activities pertaining to the election will take place between Wednesday 12th of March, 2025 and Saturday 10th of May, 2025.
"The dates stated shall be adhered to unless there is state or national activities that may interfere or any ‘force major’.
Collection of forms shall be between Wednesday 12th of March, 2025 and 12th of April, 2025. The forms shall be available at the National Secretariat inside Ilesa Grammar School or candidates can obtain from the office of the principal. This shall be with the evidence of payment into the designated account.
Submission of forms shall be from the 13th of April to 30th of April. The forms should be submitted to the National Secretariat enclosed in a marked and addressed envelope.
Screening of candidates shall be between 1st of May to 5th of May.
Publicity shall commence on the 12th of April to 12th of May. This will involve the services of the following selected media houses and blogs such as Diamond FM, Timsed Radio, Unique FM and a blog.
Election date shall be 10th of May, 2025. Swearing in same day.
The committee thereby recommend and subsequently got the approval of the National President that, the use of delegates of not more than ten (10) from each participating set to vote.
