The Asakin of Abo Asakin in Akure North local government of Ondo State, His Royal Majesty Oba Adebayo Sunday Oluwatuyi, has solicited the support of governments at all levels to tackle the problem of kidnapping in his domain.
This is as some gunmen kidnapped two farmers who were working on a farm in the early hours of 7th March, 2025.
The development has resulted in panic in the area and made some farmers abandon their farming activities.
"We appeal seriously to the state government to assist in the protection of lives and properties because of the investors that have started investing hugely in my domain." Oba Adebayo Sunday Oluwatuyi said
Meanwhile, Adeshida Opeyemi Deborah of Deborah Integrated Global Farms Ltd at Abo ashakin in Akure North has also reported the same incident in a statement seen by KAKAKIOODUA.
"I hereby report the incident that occurred at the community where I am investing greatly.. some kidnappers came fully armed with ammunition in the early hours of 7th March, 2025.
"My workers were there working while those kidnappers came, they escaped and run for their dear lives.
"Unfortunately, two people were kidnapped and till now we have not heard from them." The statement read
