A lightning strike had triggered a fire that burnt down a palm tree in Afere, Ile Ayo, a suburb of Ilesa, Osun State, according to social media reports.
A video seen by KAKAKIOODUA showed a palm tree in flames purportedly caused by lightning during rains that hit Ilesa and environs on Monday.
The burning tree seen in the footage lied next to a building.
