It was a tumultuous and chaotic turn when a retired headmistress slumps and dies on the very day of her retirement party inside the school premises where she last served.
The retired headmistress named Mrs. Bello was the last headmistress of the School for the Physically Challenged, Enu Odi, Ilesa in Osun State. She was a very hardworking and diligent woman as described by people around.
She retired last month and slated her retirement party for Wednesday 9th of April.
As the guests were arriving the venue of the retirement party inside the school the program commenced with the retired headmistress dancing into the venue hall in procession file with drummers singing.
On entering the party hall she was invited to the high table with her husband, barely ten minutes on the high table that she showed signs of weakness and was immediately attended to.
After first aid attempts at the event he she was hastily conveyed to the nearby Ijesaland Geriatric Centre when she showed no sign of improvement where she was referred to Wesley Guild Hospital also in Ilesa. It was there she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Her remains had since been deposited into the morgue as all guests, co-teachers and invited guests were stunned beyond comments.
All attempts to seek comment from Dr. Oni Gbolabo who has always assisting the school didn't yield results as he declined making any comment as his sober looks shows deep grief. They had been working together for the past six years.
