Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee, Ijesa Unity Carnival Logistics Sub-committee Meet on Coronation of HIM Ajimoko III






As the people of Ijesaland eagerly anticipate a joyous and memorable celebration of their new King, His Imperial Majesty Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, the Owa Obokun Adimula, Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, preparations are well underway for the Grande Finale of the Coronation Ceremony slated for Saturday, May 23rd, 2025.






The Chairman of the Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola highlighted the significance of the event in his welcome address to the representatives of the 46 Clubs and Societies that have registered with the Iwude Planning Committee at a meeting held on Tuesday.


One would recall that more than 40 Clubs and Societies (Elegbes) participated at the maiden edition of the Ijesa Unity Carnival held on the 21st of December, 2024 at the Ilesa Grammar School sports arena.







The meeting held at the Iwude Ijesa Secretariat, Okemese, Ilesa Osun State, agreed that the coronation ceremony will also be highlighted with  a mini carnival parade by the registered Clubs and Societies.








Highlighting the important role that the monarchy plays in maintaining unity and stability within Ijesaland as a unifying force, Igbaroola called on all citizens to demonstrate their support and loyalty to the new Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland as he reaffirmed the Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee's commitment to the success of the reign of HIM Ajimoko III.

In preparation for the event, the Logistics subcommittee, made some decisions to ensure that all Clubs and Societies are properly accredited and informed of the planning of the Central Coronation Planning Committee put in place by His Imperial Majesty, so as to be kept abreast of the necessary protocols and guidelines.


The coronation of HIM Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III marks a historic moment for Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee, and the participation of the Elegbes including Ijesa sons and daughters in the Diaspora are critical to its success.
